Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports that the Dolphins are closing in a on a deal with veteran S Nate Allen.ย Accordingย toย Salguero, an agreement could be in place as soon as this evening.
Miami brought in a number of free agents for visits, and for the most part have been able to get them under contract, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see them get this deal done too.
Allen, 29, is a former second-round pick of the Eagles back in 2010. He spent five years with the Eagles before signing on with the Raiders in 2015. Oakland brought him back on a one-year deal worth $3 million last year.
In 2016, Allen appeared in 14 games for the Raiders and recorded 33 tackles, two interceptions and three pass defenses.
