According to Barry Jackson, the Dolphins have decided not to activate CB Cordrea Tankersley and add him to the 53-man roster by today’s deadline.
The Dolphins placed Tankersley on the PUP list coming out of the preseason with a knee injury. He just recently returned to practice for Miami, but now will end up missing the rest of the 2019 season.
Tankersley, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2017. He’s currently in the third year of a four-year, $3.17 million contract and set to make base salaries of $583,000 and $673,000 over the next two years of the agreement.
In 2018, Tankersley appeared in six games for the Dolphins and recorded five tackles and no sacks or interceptions.
