Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports reports that the Eagles have signed CB E.J. Biggers to a one-year contract.

  • Pro Football Talk reported earlier in the day that Biggers was visiting the Eagles today.

Philadelphia could use some depth at cornerback, but it seems likely that Biggers will need to win a roster spot in training camp and during the preseason.

Biggers, 27. is a former seventh-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2009. He finished out his rookie contract before signing on with the Redskins as an unrestricted free agent in March of 2013.

In 2014, Biggers appeared in 15 games and recorded 32 tackles and four pass defenses for the Redskins. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 102 cornerback out of 108 qualifying players.

We’ll update the post with Biggers’ contract details as they’re available.
