The Atlanta Falcons officially designated P Matt Bosher as one of their two players to return from injured reserve.
This officially opens a three-week window of time for Bosher to practice with the team before Atlanta will need to add him to their active roster.
The Falcons placed Bosher on injured reserve a few weeks ago with a groin injury.
Bosher, 31, is a former sixth-round pick by the Falcons in the 2011 NFL Draft. After finishing his rookie contract, Atlanta re-signed him to a five-year extension through the 2019 season.
In 2019, Bosher has appeared in three games and recorded nine punts for 377 net yards (41.9 YPP), two touchbacks, and a long of 52 yards. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 31 overall punter out of 31 qualifying players.
