Pelissero also reports that Falcons DL coach Tosh Lupoi and assistant Jess Simpson have been identified as coaches who were in “close contact” with Cominsky and did not travel with the team to Minnesota.
The Falcons elected to practice virtually on Thursday as a precaution after Cominsky and an assistant coach tested positive, per Pelissero.
Cominsky, 24, is a former fourth-round pick by the Falcons in the 2019 NFL Draft out of Charleston. He’s in the second year of his four-year, $3 million rookie contract and is set to make a base salary of $675,000 this season.
In 2020, Cominsky has appeared in four games and recorded eight total tackles, one tackle for loss, no sacks, and one fumble recovery.
