Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports reports that the Giants are hiring former Rams OC Frank Cignetti Jr as their QBs coach.
Cignetti, 50, began his NFL coaching career back in 1999 as a quality control assistant for the Chiefs. He later took a job with the Saints as their QBs coach before moving on later joining the 49ers in 2007 in the same capacity.
The Rams would later hire him as their QBs coach in 2012 before promoting him to offensive coordinator last year. Unfortunately for Cignetti, he was fired in December and replaced by Rob Boras.
At the time he was fired, the Rams ranked No. 31 in total yards, No. 32 in passing yards, and No. 31 overall in points scored.
