According to Aaron Wilson, the Giants are bringing in five free-agents for workouts this week.
The full list of tryouts includes:
- DB Jeremiah Dinson
- DB Saquan Hampton
- WR Chris Lacy
- QB Kyle Sloter
- WR Michael Walker
Sloter, 26, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Northern Colorado back in 2017. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Broncos cut him loose.
Sloter later signed on with the Vikings’ practice squad and eventually joined the Cardinals before the Lions signed him to their active roster last year. He was cut loose this past March.
During his college career at Southern Mississippi and Northern Colorado, Sloter appeared in 34 games and completed 198 passes on 320 attempts (61.9 percent) for 2,656 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions.
Lacy, 24, wound up signing on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma State back in 2018. New England waived Lacy in the 2018 offseason and was quickly claimed by the Lions.
Lacy was on and off the Lions’ active roster throughout the 2018 and 2019 seasons. He was among their final roster cuts coming out of training camp.
In 2019, Lacy appeared in seven games and recorded three receptions for 60 yards receiving (20 YPC) and no touchdowns.
