The Giants announced Thursday that OC Jason Garrett has tested positive for COVID-19.
As this will knock him out for Sunday’s game against the Browns, Giants TE coach Freddie Kitchens will call plays for New York against his former team.

New York added the team will work remotely out of an abundance of caution as they determine other potential high-risk contacts.
The Giants offense under Garrett ranks 31st in the NFL in yards and points so far in 2020, including 30th in passing and 14th in rushing.
Garrett, 54, began his NFL coaching career with the Dolphins back in 2005 as their quarterbacks coach. After two years in Miami, the Cowboys hired him as their offensive coordinator and he eventually worked his way up to head coach.
The Cowboys allowed Garrett’s contract to expire at the end of last season as opposed to firing him and he joined the Giants as their offensive coordinator.
Over the course of his 10 years in charge of the Cowboys, Garrett led the team to a record of 85-67 (55.3 percent), which includes three playoff appearances.
