Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News reports that the Giants have displayed “some level of interest” in free agent TE Brandon Pettigrew.

Previous reports have indicated that Packers free agent TE Andrew Quarless, is also among the tight ends the Giants are considering at this point in offseason.
It’s clear that New York is consider all of their available options at tight end, even though this year’s class lacks marquee talent. Jermichael Finley seems like he could be an intriguing option, depending on whether or not he’s cleared in the coming weeks.
It’s hard to pinpoint what kind of market Pettigrew will have in the coming weeks, even though he is one of the best available tight ends. He really hasn’t developed into the kind of weapon the Lions were hoping he would be when they used a first-round pick on years ago.
Pettigrew, 29, caught 41 passes for 416 yards receiving and two touchdowns over the course of 14 games. We have him listed as the No. 71 player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.
