The New York Giants are bringing in five free agents for tryouts this week, according to Aaron Wilson.
The full list of players trying out includes:
- DE John Daka
- RB Taquan Mizzell
- DB Teez Tabor
- TE Nate Wieting
- DB Quincy Wilson
Tabor, 24, was drafted by the Lions in the second round out of Florida back in 2017. He was set to enter the third year of his four-year, $4.82 million rookie contract with $2.79 million guaranteed when Detroit cut him loose during final roster cuts.
He eventually signed on with the 49ers’ practice squad but was later waived with a non-football injury designation.
In 2018, Tabor appeared in 12 games for the Lions, recording 28 total tackles, no interceptions, and no pass defenses.
Wilson, 24, is a former second-round pick by the Colts back in 2017. After three seasons in Indianapolis, the Colts traded him to the Jets this past April for a sixth-round pick.
Wilson is in the final year of his four-year rookie contract and set to make a base salary of $1,251,310 for the 2020 season. However, the Jets elected to cut him loose and he has recently had a workout with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
In 2020, Wilson has appeared in three games for the Jets and recorded one total tackle and no interceptions.
We have him included in our Top 100 Available 2020 Free Agents list.
