The New York Giants are bringing in nine free agents for tryouts this week, according to Albert Breer.
The full list of players trying out includes:
- DE Ryan Bee
- OT Dino Boyd
- RB Jordan Chunn
- TE Matt Flanagan
- DB Evan Foster
- LB Cale Garrett
- WR Shelton Gibson
- WR Kyran Moore
- QB Jalen Morton
Gibson, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Eagles back in 2017. He was in the third year of his four-year, $2.65 million contract and set to make a base salary of $645,000 for the 2019 season when the Eagles waived him from injured reserve with a settlement during the preseason.
Gibson re-signed with the Eagles during the playoffs but was once again waived. From there he had a brief stint with Washington before the Panthers signed him to their practice squad at the start of November, but was cut loose after a few weeks.
In 2018, Gibson appeared in 15 games for the Eagles and caught one pass for 48 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
Chunn, 25, wound up going undrafted out of Troy in 2017. He later signed a three-year, $1.71 million contract with the Cowboys but was waived coming out of the preseason.
Dallas re-signed Chunn to their practice squad and has been on and off of the Cowboys’ practice squad. Chunn returned to Dallas on a futures contract last December. Unfortunately, he was later waived with a non-football injury designation in July of 2020.
During his college career at Troy, Cunn rushed for 3,124 yards on 679 carries (4.6 YPC) to go along with 84 receptions for 558 yards receiving and 47 total touchdowns over the course of 49 games.
