Jaguars Use Their Franchise Tag On K Josh Scobee

Tania Ganguli of the Florida Time-Union reports that the Jacksonville Jaguars have placed their franchise tag to K Josh Scobee.

This will guarantee Scobee a contract close to $2.6 million for the 2012.

The two sides were reportedly working on a deal as early as a month ago but nothing apparently came from the negotiations and the last we’d heard, there was a big between the two of them in terms of total dollars.
