Jets Tried Out Former Vikings K Daniel Carlson

According to Howard Balzer, the Jets brought in free agent K Daniel Carlson for a tryout on Friday.

The Jets have been keeping tabs on available kickers since the season started, so it’s possible that they’re just updating emergency lists.

Carlson, 23, was selected in the fifth round of this year’s draft by the Vikings. He’s currently in the first year of his four-year, $2,708,012 contract when the Vikings waived him a few weeks ago.

In 2018, Carlson has appeared in two games and converted one of four field goal attempts all six of his extra point tries.
