Will Burge of ESPN Cleveland reports that sources have informed him that free agent WR Josh Cribbs has failed his physical with the Cardinals.
Mike Garafolo tweets that Cribbs’ agent, J.R. Rickert, mentioned that he underwent surgery to repair a meniscus tear following the season and the injury hasn’t fully healed yet.
Rickert added that he expects Cribbs to take another physical in the next few weeks. Assuming everything checks out, Rickert expects his client to sign with the Cardinals.
The market for Cribbs has been limited, but the Cardinals appear to have genuine interest in signing him, so it makes sense that they would reconsider the idea when Cribbs is fully healed.
