Larry Fitzgerald Could Miss More Games As Knee Isn’t Responding Well

Kent Somers of the AzCentral.com reports that Cardinals WRย Larry Fitzgerald‘s knee sprain didn’t respond as well as they had hoped and he could be in danger of missing even more games.

  • Somers admitsย another week of rest and treatment couldย help Fitzgerald immensely and give him at least a shot at suiting up.

HCย Bruce Arians told reporters that Fitzgerald “couldn’t run” during pregame warm ups, so it’s really not all that surprising that he was held out of Sunday’s game.

Drew Stanton threw for justย 149 yards while completingย 14 of 26 passes and one interception. There’s no question that not havingย Fitzgerald in the lineup played a role in the team’s passing struggles, but they were also on the road in Seattle.

Shouldย Fitzgerald sit out Week 13’s game against the Falcons, you can expect to see more ofย John and Jaron Brown.

Fitzgerald, 31, is in theย fourth year of hisย eight-year, $128.5 million contractย that includedย $50 million guaranteed. After reworking his contract,ย Fitzgerald received anย $11.75 million signing bonus to go along withย a base salary of $1 million for the 2014 season.

Next year, the Cardinals will face a decision regarding hisย $8 million roster bonus that’s due in March.

Over the course ofย 10 games, Fitzgerald has caught 46 passes for 658 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
