The rumor that the Dallas Cowboys are willing to trade Marion Barber got moving with ESPNDallas.com’s Calvin Watkins report on Friday which mentioned that the team has taken calls regarding Barbers availability.
David Moore ofย the Dallas Morning News has since followed up with team sources who have mentioned that “there have been no substantive talks” which doesn’t negate Barbers availability.
The Cowboys currently have Felix Jones and Tashard Choice who could be ready to take over for Barber if the team deems him to be expendable. It’s likely that the Cowboys are just testing the waters by fielding calls but if they receive a solid offer from a team in desperate need of a running back, they could pull the trigger on a deal.
