Bears
According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, the Bears were among 11 teams to visit with UTSA DE/OLB Marcus Davenport since the Combine.
Regarding the visit, Davenport said it was really more personal than anything else.
โWe talked a lot,โ Davenport said. โReally it was more personal. They were trying to get to know me as a person because coming from a school that doesnโt have much history, they didnโt come through as much. They werenโt keeping a record of me all the years.โ
Chicago has come up as a team who could possibly trade back in round one, so there’s at least a chance Davenport could be a consideration for them on Thursday.

Panthers
the son of Panthers owner Jerry Richardsonโs son, Mark, believes South Carolina businessman Ben Navarro is the best candidate to take over as the franchise’s owner.
โIโm sure there are multiple people that could be the right next owner. I personally know Ben and I know what he stands for,โ Richardson said, via Joe Person of the Charlotte Observer. โI know where his heart and his head is, and what his commitments are. And I canโt imagine a better person being the next owner than him.โ
โIโm a fan of his and Iโm a fan of what he stands for and how he does things. Heโs committed to the right things for the right reasons,โ Richardson said.ย โI think heโd be a wonderful owner.โ
