NFL News: Jets Keeping Tomlinson

ESPNNewYork.comโ€™s Rich Cimini reports that the New York Jets will keep LaDainian Tomlinson around for the 2011 season. Cimini mentions that Tomlinsonโ€™s play against the Indianapolis Colts helped convince the Jets front office that he was worth securing for the coming season.

Tomlinson did a good job of producing for the team during the early part of the season but only managed to score one touchdown after week six. It would make a lot of sense for the Jets to get more out of Shonn Greene and use LT as a compliment considering that Greene is their back of the future. Tomlinson will make $2.4 million for the 2011 season so the team isnโ€™t taking on a huge financial burden by keeping him.
