  • Adam Schefter reports that the Bears paid their K Robbie Gould his $500,000 workout bonus due him this week before cutting him loose.

Chargers

  • Chargers HC Mike McCoy told reporters that first-round DE Joey Bosa’s roster exemption from NFL will expire after their Week 1 game against the Chiefs. (Michael Gehlken)
  • Jason Fitzgerald mentions that the Chargers are one of two teams that need to make a move today to free up some cap space.

Jets

Titans

  • Titans HC Mike Mularkey confirmed that DeMarco Murray will be their lead running back this year with rookie Derrick Henry spelling him periodically. (Jim Wyatt)
  • Titans WR Kendall Wright will undergo another MRI after suffering setback with his hamstring injury. (Terry McCormick)
  • Mularkey said that Wright won’t play in their season-opener, and there’s currently no timeframe for him to return. (Jason Wolf)
