Bill Cowher

  • Former Steelers HC Bill Cowher said during an interview with Sirius XM NFL Radio that he won’t be coaching next year.

โ€œIt does get your blood going, but no Iโ€™m in a really good place,โ€ Cowher said. โ€œI really enjoy my job with CBS.

โ€œItโ€™s good. Iโ€™m in a good place. Youโ€™re not going to see me on the sidelines. I enjoy it, you miss it, but not enough to get back.โ€

Cowher’s name had come up as a speculative option for the Bills.

Chargers

  • G Chad Rinehart activated an escalator bonus in his contract that will pay him $900,000 in 2015 for playing more than 85ย of the team’s snaps this season. (Michael Gehlken)
  • Rinehart’s base salary for next year will now be $3.15ย million.ย (Michael Gehlken)

Cowboys

  • Cowboys RT Doug Free (foot) is listed as doubtful for their Wildcard game against the Lions.

Jets
