NFL Notes: Cardinals, Chiefs, Falcons, Seahawks, & Vikings

Cardinals

• Adam Caplan reports that the Cardinals signed RB Chris Johnson to a one-year contract with $400,000 of his $870,000 base salary fully guaranteed.

Chiefs

• Aaron Wilson reports that the Chiefs worked out veteran offensive guard Josh Samuda on Wednesday.

Falcons

• According to Vaughn McClure of ESPN, WR Leonard Hankerson, DE Adrian Clayborn, FS Ricardo Allen, G James Stone and LB Allen Bradford are all on the rise for the Falcons.
• On the flip side, McClure lists second-round CB Jalen Collins, G Jon Asamoah, CB Dezmen Southward, OL Peter Konz, and OLB Kroy Biermann as five players who are falling in Falcons’ training camp.

Seahawks

Seahawks OC Darrell Bevell said he wouldn’t change the play call that led to Russell Wilson throwing an interception to end the Super Bowl if given the opportunity.

“It’s never going to leave you…” Bevell told Peter King of MMQB.com. “That play we called will always be there to drive me. I wouldn’t change it, I think it was the right thing. Coach (Pete) Carroll has done a great job with it as well. I think to answer your question, in terms of totally moving on, that night is rough, the next morning is rough, getting on the plane is rough, but as soon as I got here and I was able to watch it for myself on the tape and see our copy and look at it that way and do the analyzing of it, once that was over I was able to put it behind me. I’m okay. I really am.”

Vikings

• According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Vikings OT Carter Bykowski sustained a torn pectoral muscle and is out for the season.
