NFL Notes: Cardinals, Ravens, Redskins, Texans & Vikings

Cardinals

  • Cardinals signed WR Chris Hubert and RB Elijhaa Penny, both of whom participated in the team’s rookie minicamp on a tryout. (Mike Jurecki)
  • Cardinals waived RB Jared Baker and LB Mike Reilly.

Ravens

  • The Ravens announced that they’ve signed fourth-round pick CB Tavon Young to a four-year contract. (Jeff Zrebiec)

Redskins

  • The Redskins signed CB Lloyd Carrington and ILB Reggie Northrup to contracts following their recent tryouts. (Tarik El-Bashir)

Texans

The Texans are intrigued by recently signed UDFA Cal TE Stephen Anderson who is a converted wide receiver, per Aaron Wilson.

Wilson noted that that Anderson was in demand following the draft after visiting the Dolphins and working out privately for the Titans, Patriots, and Falcons prior to the selection process.

Anderson, who already put his athleticism and hands on display in Texans rookie minicamp, said: “It was fun. The goal is to put it all together. I feel like I bring a lot of versatility and speed to the table.

Vikings

  • The Vikings announced Monday that they’ve signed CB Tre Roberson and WR Troy Stoudermire to contracts.
  • Chris Tomasson reports that NDSU P Ben LeCompte will visit the Vikings next week and have a private workout for the team. After that, the Vikings will decide whether to keep LeCompte or Taylor Symmank.
  • According to Tomasson, Kentucky State CB Eric Rawls did not officially sign with the Vikings last week.
