NFL Notes: Draft, Jets, Lions, & Steelers

Draft

• Ohio State RB Ezekiel Elliott is meeting with the Dolphins on Monday and will travel to Chicago to visit with the Bears on Wednesday. (Ian Rapoport)
• Ole Miss WR Laquon Treadwell is visiting with the Giants on Monday, the Bears on Tuesday and the Jets on Wednesday. (Ian Rapoport)
• Alabama DL Jarran Reed is visiting with the Jets on Monday, Chargers on Tuesday and the Texans on Wednesday. (Ian Rapoport)

Jets

• In order for the Jets to trade up in round one, Peter King mentions that it would likely require them to include DL Muhammad Wilkerson in a deal.

• King still expects Ryan Fitzpatrick to be the Jets quarterback in 2016.
• Manish Mehta reports that Jets HC Todd Bowles is traveling to Georgia to get a second look at OLBs Leonard Floyd and Jordan Jenkins.
• According to Manish Mehta, Eastern Kentucky DE/OLB Noah Spence is visiting the Jets on Wednesday.

Lions

• Rand Getlin reports that Clemson CB Mackensie Alexander is in Detroit visiting the Lions on Monday.
• Jeremy Fowler reports that the Lions are a team actively exploring the defensive back market more than most in this year’s draft.

Steelers

• Jeremy Fowler of ESPN writes that the Steelers could bring back either Brian Hoyer or Bruce Gradkowski as their backup quarterback for the 2016 season.
