Nick Collins has since refuted the previous report this is career is likely over.
“There’s no true that story.. I haven’t said anything yet….,” tweeted Collins, via the Green Bay Press Gazette.

Jason La Canfora tweets that fomer Packers safety Nick Colllins hopes to play football again, and will visit a surgeon as soon as next week in the hops of being cleared.
Collins agent, Alan Herman, mentioned that Collins’ neck concerns will most likely force him to retire.
“However, at a recent evaluation with the specialist who performed his neck surgery,” La Canfora writes per Josh Katzowitz of CBSSports, “Collins was advised not to pursue football … effectively ending the process.”
This will almost certainly be the end of the road for the 29-year-old veteran, as NFL teams will probably stay away in order to prevent him from suffering any further injury to his neck.
