Panthers Re-Sign K Harrison Butker To Practice Squad, Release DT Eric Crume

The Carolina Panthers announced Thursday that they’ve re-signed K Harrison Butker to their practice squad and released DT Eric Crume from the unit.

The Panthers’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. QB Garrett Gilbert
  2. WR Keyarris Garrett
  3. WR Mose Frazier
  4. OT Blaine Clausell
  5. DE Bryan Cox Jr.
  6. DE Zach Moore (Exception)
  7. DE Efe Obada (International)
  8. S Damian Parms
  9. S Dezmen Southward (Exception)
  10. FB Alex Armah
  11. K Harrison Butker

Butker, 22, was taken in the seventh-round of this year’s NFL draft by the Panthers. He signed a four-year, $2.48 million contract with the Panthers and stands to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the agreement.

Carolina was reportedly fielding trade offers for Butker, but no deal ever surfaced and they were carrying two kickers on their active roster, so it made sense for them to him loose.
