Panthers Sign DB Tyler Patmon To Practice Squad, Cut DT Bruce Gaston

The Carolina Panthers announced Tuesday that they’ve signed CB Tyler Patmon to their practice squad and released DT Bruce Gaston from the unit.

The Panthers’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. DT Eric Crume (injured)
  2. S Travell Dixon
  3. WR Keyarris Garrett
  4. RB Jalen Simmons
  5. G David Yankey
  6. DE Larry Webster
  7. WR Damiere Byrd
  8. DB Lou Young
  9. CB Tyler Patmon
  10. TE Scott Simonson
  11. OT Pearce Slater

Patmon, 25, signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma State back in May of last year. The Cowboys cut him loose in December of last year.

The Dolphins later signed him to their practice squad and brought him back on an exclusive rights free agent this past April. However, Miami waived him at the start of the preseason and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Titans but was waived a few weeks later.

In 2015, Patmon has appeared in 13 games and recorded 13 tackles, six pass defenses and 26 kick return yards for the Cowboys.
