Panthers Waive DB Marcus Ball From Practice Squad, Sign CB Lou Young & G Tyler Larsen

The Carolina Panthers officially waived DB Marcus Ball from their practice squad on Wednesday and signed CB Lou Young and G Tyler Larsen to the unit.

The Panthers’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. DT Eric Crume
  2. LB Brian Blechen
  3. S Travell Dixon
  4. WR Keyarris Garrett
  5. TE Beau Sandland
  6. RB Jalen Simmons
  7. G David Yankey
  8. DE Larry Webster
  9. Tyler Larsen
  10. CB Lou Young

Ball, 29, signed as a free agent with the Argonauts back in February of 2012. He spent two years with the Argonauts and totaled  142 tackles, seven sacks, four interceptions, two returned for touchdowns and three fumble recoveries over this time.

New Orleans wound up signing him to a three-year contract in April of 2014 and Ball would go on to appear in 12 games and recorded 16 tackles for the Saints.

Ball later caught on with the Panthers last year but was, unfortunately, among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason. He’s been on and off of their active roster this year.

In 2016, Ball has been active for one game but has yet to record a statistic.
