Raiders Place LB Sio Moore On I.R. & Sign CB Chance Casey

The Oakland Raiders announced Tuesday that they have placed LB Sio Moore on season-ending injured reserve and signed CB Chance Casey off of the 49ers’ practice squad.

Moore, 24, still has two years remaining on his four-year, $3.054 million rookie contract, which includes base salaries of $643,000 and $719,170 over the next two seasons.

Moore’s second year in the NFL ends with him recording 112 tackles (79 solo), three sacks, two passes defensed and one forced fumble in 11 games.

Casey, 23, signed on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Baylor last year. He unable able to make Oakland’s final 53-man roster coming out of the preseason and later signed to the 49ers’ practice squad a few days later.

He appeared in two games for the Raiders in 2013, but did not record a single statistic.
