Yesterday ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Raiders have made it clear to teams around the league that they are ready and willing to trade anyone of their roster.
The Raiders best player is probably CB Nnamdi Asomugha who has been one of the leagues bestย corner backsย for a few years now. If the Raiders are able to find a team that is willing to give them something close to fair market value for Nnamdi, it would make a lot of sense since they will not have a first-round pick for the 2011 draft.
The obvious problem with this idea is that the Raiders are paying Nnamdi $16 million this season and are on the hook to pay him the quarterback franchise tag price or $16.875 million next season, whichever is more. A pretty staggering price for any team to take on but he isย definitelyย talented.
