Raiders Will Use Marcel Reece As Their Primarily RB Sunday

Raiders FB Marcel Reece will be used primarily as a halfback on Sunday while Darren McFadden works on his conditioning, per Steve Corkran.

The report indicates that Raiders offensive coordinator Greg Knapp doesn’t consider McFadden ready to play for more than a limited number of snaps (if any) on Sunday, considering Reece is getting looks at running back.

Without McFadden in the lineup, expect to see a higher percentage of inside handoffs for the Raiders in the run game. Knapp will likely call plays to Reece’s strength, which is between the guards, rather than McFadden’s strength outside the tackles.
