Dolphins Sign K Jake Rogers & DT Cory Grissom

The Miami Dolphins have announced the signing of K Jake Rogers and DT Cory Grissom.

Grissom, 24, signed with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of South Florida back in 2013. The Patriots placed him on the injured reserve list back in August of last season and was later waived in March.

Grissom later signed on with the Chiefs, but only lasted until May before he was once again placed on waivers. He’s yet to appear in an NFL game.

Alex Marvez of Fox Sports reports that the Miami Dolphins are signing K Jake Rogers to a contract following the injuries to Caleb Sturgis and John Potter.

Sturgis is dealing with a groin injury was reportedly on the roster bubble, but Potter left Saturday’s game with a hip injury.

Rogers, 27, is an interesting player as he has been listed as both a punter and a kicker. He originally signed with the Saints out of Cincinnati before joining the Buccaneers, Cowboys, Giants, Redskins and Browns in short stints.
