Seahawks Signing QB Russell Wilson To Four-Year, $140M Extension

The Seahawks and QB Russell Wilson have agreed to a contract extension.

  • Adam Schefter reports that Wilson receives a four-year, $140 million extension that includes a $65 million signing bonus.
  • Ian Rapoport adds that Wilson receives a no-trade clause as part of his new contract that will keep him under team control through the 2023 season.
  • Wilson’s agent, Mark Rodgers, said of the agreement: “At the end of the day, my guy wants to live, work, thrive in Seattle. Loves this town and it’s fans. He compromised to stay here. I respect that.”

Talks had been ongoing over the past week to get something in place before Wilson’s self-imposed deadline and it looks like they were able to hammer out a deal in the end that ensures Wilson remains in Seattle for the foreseeable future.

The expectation is that Wilson will end up taking over as the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL, surpassing Aaron Rodgers’ record deal.

Wilson, 30, is a former third-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2012. He was entering the final year of his five-year, $89.142 million contract that included $60 million guaranteed and was set to make a base salary of $17 million for the 2019 season.

Wilson was set to be an unrestricted free agent in 2020.

In 2018, Wilson appeared in all 16 games completed 65.6 percent of his passes for 3,448 yards, 35  touchdowns and seven interceptions. He also rushed for 376 yards.

  1. HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! All the FAKE NEWS DRAMA REPORTING that Russell Wilson wants New York. PAH-LEASE.

There were morons posting on NFLTR that the GMEN will have to give up their 2019 picks 6,17 and more for Wilson’s services.

I keep saying it and it is just a matter of time before Cam Newton is on the GMEN.

I called the Chiefs signing DC Spagnuolo, I called the GMEN trading Beckham to the Browns and the pick compensation, I called the Vernon trade to the Browns. All before The Fake Ass Sports Media Outlets had a clue. You got to have real sources before you post anything.

And I know this post will be deleted by Nate Bouda and his merry band of know nothings. Because they can’t handle the TRUTH!

P.S. Hey Nate Bouda! You like deleting responses to little dick heads like Michael Palmer. You should delete their stupid ass responses first. Half of these douche bags like Michael Palmer are still on their momma’s tit and don’t have a clue about sports. Pretty much an internet DIVA.

Biased sports sites that delete certain posts is a breach of the 1st Amendment. You want comments posted, then all comments get posted.
