Seahawks Waive Veteran OT J’Marcus Webb

The Seattle Seahawks announced that they’ve placed veteran OT J’Marcus Webb on waivers Tuesday.

Webb, 28, is a former seventh-round pick of the Bears back in 2010. He spent three years in Chicago before he was waived and later claimed off of waivers by the Vikings at the start of the 2013 season.

Webb briefly joined the Chiefs before returning to the Vikings and eventually signing a one-year deal with the Raiders last April. The Seahawks elected to sign Webb to a two-year, $6 contract that included $2.45 million guaranteed as an unrestricted free agent this past March.

In 2016, Webb has been active for nine games and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 74 offensive tackle out of 80 qualifying players.
