- T Rick Leonard
- S Shalom Luani
- QB Alex McGough
- T Kyle Murphy
- S Jonathan Owens
Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.
Luani, 25, is a former seventh-round pick by the Raiders out of Washington State back in 2017. He was entering the second year of his four-year rookie contract when he was traded to the Seahawks coming out of preseason.
Seattle re-signed Luani as an exclusive rights free agent this past offseason only to cut him loose coming out of the preseason. He later caught on with the Chargers before being signed to the Texans’ practice squad last month.
For his career, Luani has appeared in 31 games over three seasons and recorded 18 tackles and two pass defenses.
McGough, 24, was selected by the Seahawks in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL draft. He signed a four-year, $2,563,692 with Seattle but wound up being among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.
McGough signed a futures contract with the Jaguars this last year before being waived coming out of the preseason. From there, he signed on to the Texans’ practice squad.
During his four-year college career at Florida International, McGough threw for 9,091 yards while completing 60.4 percent of his passes to go along with 65 touchdowns and 37 interceptions over the course of 46 games.
