Texans Sign DE Alex Carrington, Waive/Injured FB Soma Vainuku

The Houston Texans announced Tuesday that they’ve signed veteran DE Alex Carrington and waived-injured FB Soma Vainuku.

Should Vainuku clear waivers tomorrow, he would revert to the team’s injured reserve list.

Carrington, 29, is a former third-round pick of the Bills back in 2010. He spent four years in Buffalo before signing a one-year contract with the Rams in 2014.

Carrington later returned to the Bills on a one-year deal in May of last year, but hadn’t found any reported interest as a free agent before this.

In 2015, Carrington appeared in seven games for the Bills and recorded eight tackles and no sacks.
