49ers Sign LB Dekoda Watson To Three-Year, $6M Deal

The San Francisco 49ers announced Friday night that they’ve signed LB Dekoda Watson to a contract.

  • Pro Football Talk reports that Watson receives a three-year, $6 million contract from the 49ers.

Watson recently visited with the Seahawks and reportedly met with the Raiders on Friday, according to Adam Caplan.

The Broncos mentioned earlier in the week that they were interested in re-signing Watson, but it looks like he felt the 49ers were his best option.

Watson, 28, is a former seventh-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2010. He wound up playing out his rookie contract with the team before signings on with the Jaguars in March of 2014.

Jacksonville elected to release Watson during his first season with the team. After brief stints with the Cowboys and Patriots, Watson later signed a one-year, $760,000 contract with the Broncos.

In 2016, Watson appeared in all 16 games for the Broncos and recorded 17 tackles, one sack, and a forced fumble.
