Andy Dalton Expected To Be Back With Bengals Next Year

According to Ian Rapoport, Bengals QB Andy Dalton‘s future in Cincinnati is “secure” and he’s expected to return to the team next season.

The Bengals placed Dalton on injured reserve with a thumb injury last week, but his thumb surgery won’t change his future with the team.

Dalton, 31, is a former second-round pick of the Bengals back in 2011. He’s currently in the fifth year of his seven-year, $97.09 million contract, which includes $17 million guaranteed.

Dalton stands to make base salaries of $13.7 million and $16 million over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2018, Dalton appeared in 11 games for the Bengals and thrown for 2,566 yards while completing 61.9 percent of his passes to go along with 21 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
