According to Joe Schad, the Bears, Browns, Ravens and 49ers are among the potential destinations for Dolphins franchise WR Jarvis Landry whether that’s through a trade or as a free agent signing.
- Jason Wolf of the Tennessean, citing a team source, reports that Landry has the Titans among his preferred landing spots. However, Tennessee has yet to reach out to the Dolphins about a potential trade for him.
The Dolphins granted permission for Landry and his representation to seek out a trade with another team and reports have said that he plans to sign his franchise tender at some point in the near future to facilitate a trade to another team.
It will be interesting to see what kind of compensation is being discussed for Landry, given that Miami has committed to paying him roughly $16 million fully guaranteed for the 2018 season.
Landry will need to hammer out a long-term extension with a new team in order for a deal to be completed.
Landry, 25, is a former second-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2014. He’s entering the final year of his four-year, $3.5 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $893,852 for the 2017 season.
In 2017, Landry appeared in 16Â games and caught 112 passes for 987 yards receiving and nine touchdowns. He has also contributed 81 kick return yards. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 19 receiver out of 119 qualifying players.
