The Ravens signed S Jermaine Whitehead off of the 49ers’ practice squad on Thursday, according to the NFL transactions release.
Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area. notes that Whitehead is the fourth player teh 49ers have lost from their practice squad this season.
Whitehead, 22, wound up signing on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Auburn back in May. He was unfortunately among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason, but was added to their practice squad just a day later.
During his four years at Auburn, Whitehead recorded 210 tackles, nine tackles for a loss, three interceptions, a fumble recovery, a sack, and 15 pass defenses.
