Dolphins Waive RB Jonas Gray, Re-Sign C Sam Brenner

The Miami Dolphins announced that Tuesday that they’ve waived RB Jonas Gray and re-signed C Sam Brenner to a contract.

We have re-signed center Sam Brenner.

To make room on the roster for Brenner, we have waived running back Jonas Gray.

Gray, 25, was waived by the Patriots this last weekend, as they cut their roster down to 53 players. The Dolphins wound up signing him to a contract back in September before promoting him to their active roster soon after.

This season, Gray has appeared in six games and ran for 122 yards on 31 carries (3.9 YPC) to go along with six receptions for 72 yards receiving.

Brenner was recently waived to make room for rookie RB Jay Ajayi, who was recently activated from short-term injured reserve.
