Falcons Hoping To Get Big Production From RB Jacquizz Rodgers

The Atlanta Falcons have already made it clear that Michael Turner‘s workload will be decreased moving forward. According to head coach Mike Smith, RB Jacquizz Rodgers “has the skill set to play on all three downs.”

“Jacquizz is not little,’’ Smith said, per Pat Yaskinsas of ESPN.com. “He’s short, but he’s thick. People projected him to be a third-down back, a change-of-pace back. I think the guy has the skill set to play on all three downs.

Atlanta also re-signed Jason Snellling during free agency, so he too figures to see an increased workload this season, but the fact that Smith appears to be high on Rodgers, suggests that he may get the first shot at some regular playing time.
