Falcons Place S William Moore On I.R. & Promote DB Sean Baker

Falcons HC Mike Smith announced Tuesday that they have placed S William Moore on season-ending injured-reserve.

  • Smith added that the Falcons are promoting DB Sean Baker from their practice squad.

Moore went down with a shoulder injury back in Week 4, and was later placed on short-term injured reserve. Atlanta activated him close to a month ago.

Moore, 29, signed a five-year, $29.512 million contract that included $14 million guaranteed with the Falcons back in March of last year. He’ll make a base salary of $3.5 million for the 2014 and 2015 season before that figure increases to $4.5 million and $6.25 million in the final two years of the agreement.

Over the course of seven games this season, Moore has recorded 25 tackles and two forced fumbles. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 75 player out of 86 qualifying players.
