Jets Claim TE Clive Walford Off Waivers From Raiders

According to Adam Schefter, the Jets have claimed TE Clive Walford off of waivers from the Raiders on Monday.

Walford joins a Jets’ tight end group that includes Jordan Leggett, Eric Tomlinson and Neal Sterling, who has yet to sign his restricted tender.

Walford, 26, is a former third-round pick out of Miami by the Raiders in the 2015 NFL Draft. He is in the final year of his four-year, $3.345 million rookie contract and set to earn a base salary of $822,800 for the 2018 season.

The Raiders elected to place Walford on waivers last week.

In 2017, Walford appeared in 13 games for the Raiders and recorded nine receptions for 80 yards receiving and no touchdown.
