Jets Waive DB Kendall James, Sign RB Terry Williams

The New York Jets announced that they’ve signed RB Terry Williams to a contract and waived DB Kendall James with an injury designation on Wednesday.

Should James clear waivers tomorrow, he would revert to the team’s injured reserve list.

James, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Vikings back in May of 2014. He was, unfortunately, unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was later added to the Vikings’ practice squad.

James has brief stints with the Texans and Chargers before later signing a future/reserve contract with the Browns in December of last year. He was once again unable to make the Browns’ 53-man roster at the start of the regular season, and was eventually released from the team’s practice back in January.

The Jets signed him to a future/reserve contract this past January.

James has yet to appear in an NFL game.
