Considering how things have gone for Roy Williams in Dallas it would make sense for both parties to move on during the offseason. Interestingly enough, David Moore of the Dallas Morning News makes the case for Williams to remain in Dallas next season.
While Moore doesn’t say that it’s the most likely scenario, he does however mention that there is chance that Williams takes a pay cut and remains a Cowboy for another season.
Williams had a better year than most expected but considering the amount of money that he’s due in 2011, there is no way that the team could justify retaining him at that cost. If released, Williams should be able to find a decent situation but there will be plenty of competition for WR jobs so nothing will be guaranteed.
