Packers Could Be In The Mix For WR Allen Robinson

Ian Rapoport said on NFL Network Monday that he wouldn’t be surprised to see the Packers show some interest in free agent WR Allen Robinson.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Green Bay Packers dip their toe into these waters as well,” Rapoport said, per Chris Wesseling.

This comes after a report that Green Bay has already been in contact with free agent TE Jimmy Graham, so it appears as though they’re serious about adding more weapons to their offense.

Yesterday, Jason La Canfora reported there’s expected to be “ample competition” for Robinson this offseason.

The Jaguars would reportedly “love” to re-sign Robinson, but La Canfora expects him to draw interest from the 49ers, Bears and Browns.

Two other teams who could be in the mix for Robinson, according to La Canfora, are the Ravens and Panthers, but they have obvious cap issues that could prevent them from being serious landing spots.

Robinson, 24, is a former second-round pick by the Jaguars in the 2014 NFL Draft. He played out the final year of a four-year, $3.510 million rookie contract and made a base salary of $898,755 for the 2017 season.

Robinson is now in position to test the open market for the first time in his NFL career.

In 2017, Robinson appeared in one game and caught one pass for 17 yards and no touchdowns.

We have him featured in our Top 100  – 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
