Panthers Keeping In Touch With TE Ed Dickson, Wrap Up Visit With Luke Willson

Joe Person of the Charlotte Observer reports that the Panthers wrapped up their visit with free agent TE Luke Willson on Thursday and he’s expected to take a couple more visits.

Person adds that the Panthers keeping in touch with free agent TE Ed Dickson.

Dickson has visited with the Seahawks and had interest from the Packers before they signed Jimmy Graham.

Dickson, 30, is a former third-round pick of the Panthers back in 2010. He spent four years in Baltimore before signing on with the Panthers for the 2014 season.

Dickson just played out the final year of his three-year, $6,100,000 contract with the Panthers and is in position to once again be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

In 2017, Dickson appeared in all 16 games for the Panthers and caught 30 passes for 437 yards receiving and one touchdown. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 32 tight end out of 72 qualifying players.
