Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports Panthers DT Star Lotulelei will miss the remainder of the season due to a foot fracture.

Bill Voth of Black and Blue Review reported earlier in the day that two league sources expressed concern about Lotulelei’s status for Saturday’s playoff game against the Seahawks.

Lotulelei, 25, still has another two years remaining on his four-year, $9.605 million rookie contract, which includes base salaries of $1,278,136 and $1,714,704 for the 2015 and 2016 seasons.

Lotulelei finished the regular season with 25 tackles, two sacks and a pass defense over the course of 14 games. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 22 defensive tackle out of 81 qualifying players.
