Reggie Wayne Following Peyton Manning?

Dam Pompei of the National Football Post mentions that Peyton Manning and Reggie Wayne could end up being a “package deal” for anyone that’s considering signing Manning.

So far, there really hasn’t been a lot of reports suggesting that NFL team’s will be targeting Wayne during the free agency despite his production in recent years but it’s worth noting that Wayne finished the 2011 season as the #19 best receiver according to Pro Football Focus. That comes while playing on one of the worst NFL offenses in recent history.

He’ll be 33 at the start of next season so he’s by no means a long-term solution but it could make the transition for Manning easier as he would have at least one player on the offense that he’s familiar with.
