Report: 2015 NFL Draft Will Be Held In Chicago

Update:

The Bears have confirmed the news that the 2015 NFL Draft will be hosted in Chicago.

Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports, citing a league source, reports that the 2015 NFL Draft will be held in Chicago.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported earlier in the day that the NFL draft will be held from April 30-May 2, so it looks like the league has hammered out some of the last remaining details for the event.

The 2014 NFL Draft was pushed back to May 8-10, due to scheduling conflict at Radio City Music Hall in New York. The later date wasn’t all that popular with fans for NFL teams, which likely factored into their decision to push it up a week next year.

The league has narrowed down the list of cities interested in hosting the draft to Los Angeles and Chicago, but there hadn’t been much news regarding their plans until today.

Previous reports did, however, mention that Los Angeles was considered the front-runner, so it will be interesting to hear league’s reasoning for choosing Chicago.
